The Gunslinger...?

Sorry, I read the first 2 a little while ago, a King series called something to do with "tower", and I'm sure the first one was called the gunslinger....I thought these books were awesome, and can't wait to read the third.....
question is....does anyone think the series would make a good movie/trilogy???

It would be really hard to make these films and satisfy fans. I think they would have to take a Peter Jackson seriousness with this project. Whenever I'm reading it, I picture a very serious and haggard Bruce Campbell as Roland. Like Brisco County Jr.'s more-badass brother.

I'm with ya there......gotta say, it WOULD be hard....but it WOULD DEFINATELY be worth it....I mean, cmon, how long have we been waiting for something above standard King to come out???
I think he could do it.....
and hey, while on book series that could be made into films....there's one awesome one I read a few books of called....shit, cant remember, it was about a psychic dude that could contact the dead, and hence used that power to hunt vampires, know the one? it had like over 10 books, and a second, shorter series about his sons....?

A good friend of mine recommended them. I suppose I will most likely check them out one day. Got a lot of reading to do before then though.

If they could get a writer and director who could encompass the vision of the Dark Tower, it would have potential to be breathtakingly badass.

If they ever did make the Dark Tower series into movies there would have to be seven of them. The last two come out this year. One in the summer and the other in November.

There is discussions to do these books as an ABC mini series and I think it could work well. That medium seems to do Kings novels justice.
