can someone help me out

I am trying to remember a film I once watched but can't seem to remember the name of it. It was a horror film about a toy clown (and no it isn't 'IT' ) all I can remember of the film is the beginning and the end so if I describe them it may jog ur memory and hopefully I will be able to locate the film again.....
The beginning starts of with a little girl lying in bed at night and there is a storm out side, it is dark in her bedroom but when the lighning starts it lights her room up and you can see that there is a big toy clown sitting in a chair at the end of her bed that is facing towards her.....she is frightened of the storm and gets scared of the clown looking at her so she gets up and puts the clown under her bed so that she cant see it.....shortly afterwards she hears a noise under her bed which scares her even more, she evntually looks under her bed and I'm not sure whether the clown has gone or it drags her under the bed....
All I can remember throughout the film is that the clown kills people but the town think that they have a human killer on the loose.
At the end it is simular to the beginning but this time it is with a woman, again the storm is outside and the clown is sitting in this chair, the woman is sitting on the edge of her bed looking in a mirror doing her hair and she notices the clown looking at her. She then picks it up and puts it in the bedroom closet and shuts the door, she goes back to doing her hair then you hear a noise from behind her, she turns round but there's nothing there so she goes to the bathroom where her husband is but he is doing his teeth so he couldn't have made the noise. She comes back into the bedroom and sits back down on her bed and tilts the mirror but sees in the mirror that the closet door where she put the clown is open, she then hears a noise under her bed and when she tilts the mirror some more she sees the clown looking at her and then it pulls her under the bed.
This is all I can remember of this film but I know it was a good film...so please anyone, I hope someone can help me and tell me what this film was called because its giving me a bloody headache trying to remember it.......

The beginning of the movie sounds just like Poltergeist. But the middle and end are definitely not Poltergeist. There must be more killer clown movies that I thought. This one's not really ringing any bells.

It WAS "Ghost House"...That's why I suggested the mix up...very similar description...:)

Thanks for the replies that you gave me for my problem on the unknown film but unfortunately i'm still no better off....it definately isn't poltergeist and no i'm not mixing 2 films together, I definately can remember those parts of the film cos it shit the daylife out of me....Ghost House doesn't ring a bell but I will track it down and watch it just to make sure.....

If I ever do find the film again I will let u know so that you can find and watch it.....its a great film....
