I was planning on picking up either Choke or Survivor next...I'd kind of like to read Choke before the movie comes out.

Finished Rant yesterday...recommend it for sure.

I read Fight Club and honestly thought it was terrible, though I really loved the movie. I thought the characters were really flat in the book and that the plot was really disjointed. It really turned me off from reading any of his other books.

I read "Haunted" which I really enjoyed, and "Diary" which was ok but nothing spectacular for me. Supposedly both "Choke" and "Rant" are good, but I haven't gotten around to them yet.

Are any of these books very disturbing? By that, I mean are they about rape, pedophilia, incest, excessive torture, etc.? It seems like every book I read nowadays has one or more of these subjects in it. I can handle a book if it only mentions something in passing, but I hate the "gory" :) details!
