How bad is this movie? That bad. It's a great idea for a story and features a great performance by Sutherland. Everything else sucks. I mean really sucks. The music is pounding when it should be creepy; the gore is clinical when it should be disturbing. I could go on and on.How did a movie this inept ever get released? The ending is not logical even in a suspend belief kind of way. I see that it will break even after worldwide release and dvd sales are factored in; this may influence the release of similiar films. I just hope the suits will use people like Hooper, Carpenter, Dante and Raimi to make them. Three of the guys in that list could use the work and all are gifted filmakers.

I think sometimes a director thinks a big name can pull anything off.
Which totally explains certain movies getting awards this year. It seems to get a movie made, regardless of genre, has nothing to do with talent but politics. I haven't seen this movie, but passed on it as soon as I saw the trailer on Netfllix. Did this one go straight to video? I don't remember seeing previews for it. |

It's just another worthless remake of a good Asian Horror. Try to watch the original one which is a simple but quite effective ghost story.
