: SERIAL : - Indy film inspired by true events

The one thing that always stuck out to me when it came to film was catching the realism of any particular story and just how realistic it could make any one of the viewers watching it feel. I've always been a hardcore horror fan of all different genres but out of all of them the one thing that always stuck to me was being able to tell a good horror story while making it believeable at the same time and thats what my film is all about. I always loved zombies, demons, camp killers and so forth but the one subject that always struck my interest was serial killers. The real life Freddys and Jasons who werent just a nice mixture of imagination and writing but true to life psychopaths so that is what began my inspiration for the script I have been working on for the last year and a half.

Granted that my story is fiction, the contents and development of everything that goes on in my film has either happened before (Bundy, Lucas, Ridgway) or is more than being percieved as reality which in my opinion is more scary than any zombie film I have ever seen. Since my writing style is so annoyingly diverse there is no real way to explain this film except for what a few people have been calling "psychological horror" being that there is so much element mixture in the story. Those of you who liked road trip style films such as Devils Rejects, Joy Ride, Kalifornia and serial killer style films like Suspect Zero, Seven, Maniac and Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer will really get a kick out of this film.

But dont worry because you havent sat through my rambling for nothing, I do have a teaser for the film that is already being planned for filming in 2008 with help from my friend and his production company, Spectrum Video. Feedback is welcome!

While the style is fine, I feel the minute and a half of voice-over should be axed. The information is superfluous. I liked the radio bit at the end, it conveyed all the menace and back-story you need.

So other than the rolling text what did you think of the actual film?

I liked it, for an indie. I agree on the rolling text, maybe you can use a radio voice over on images of other victims dying. The voice over could be saying about the local disappearances. Good luck on the production. Tell me when it is for done I wouldn't mind getting a chance to see the finish product.
