Help the needed!

Hey guys, i'm new here and i'd appreciate if you could help me with a question i have been thinking about for days and days on.

The thing is i just can't seem to recall the title of a movie an acquantaince of mine watched like 20 years ago. The movie its from late 70's, early 80's or so we believe. Not much that we remember about. Here a few tips that may help:

The guy kills using telekinesis and he's stuck on a wheelchair. There's one scene in the movie where a woman dies in a frozen pool; she is underneath the water, and suddenly the guy just freezes the pool, the upper part. Obviously the woman drowns, hahha.

If you remember Patrick, well the difference is that he is not on the bed but a wheelchair and also the movie im looking for has all the action in a mansion, not in a hospital.

Thanks for the replies, i've checked that movie The Gate (1987) but it doesn't seem to fit what we remember about it :(

Three young children accidentally release a horde of nasty, pint-sized demons from a hole in a suburban backyard (more)...

Are you guys sure it should be this one?
