Murder-set-Peices

I had heard some good feedback on this movie so I got the Unrated version. I have to say this is such a let down. Some of the worst acting I have seen, a very stupid and unrealistic main character. Gore was a massive let down also. Maybe this is the reason Toe Tag have done everything else on grainy hand helds.
Plot was as weak as water and was such a rip off of other movies. We have a pathetic attempt to copy Argento without any sucess and we even have them copy the decapitated head giving the guy a blowjob and then thrown out the car window scene from high tension.
The only good thing about this film was getting to see Cerina Vincents fabulous bare breasts.
Anyone else seen it?

Yeah, I wasn't impressed either.

I thought the effects were ok, but they didn't make up for the tedious story.

If Toe Tag could make a picture with an original, intriguing story I think they could have a winner. Their effects are as good as anything else going (better than most) but we can only have so many special effects showcases. The August Underground films pushed just about all the boundaries I can think of, so there is little point in relying on shocks alone at this point.

I have Redsin Tower, but haven't gotten around to watching more than the opening 15 minutes. It did seem to be trying to establish a story, but I couldn't tell how successful that would be from my brief preview. Have to check it out properly soon.

Hey, good to see another Aussie horror fan. I have the August Underground films as well and though they were done better fx's in them than MSP. I thought the chainsaw in the head scene in MSP was pretty lame and I was thinking there would be more scenes like in AU except in better quality film.
I have yet to see RT yet from them.
So you like your hardcore horror im guessing. How many horror films you have? I have over 300 now myself.

To tell you the truth, I am not particularly into hardcore horror. At least, not in preference to horror films with a good storyline and some social commentary.

My favourite films tend to come from the 60's-80's.

But I do watch the odd hardcore film, usually just to see what the hype is about :)

I haven't found too many that live up to their hype. The August Underground films do live up to the hype in my opinion.

As far as how many horror films I have - I am not sure exactly, but last time I checked it was around the 700-800 mark. A decent collection, but nothing compared to some of the guys here :)
