Cassettes

Does anybody still have and listen to cassettes? I know in film people still love their old VHS and there's always vinyl in the music world but does anybody still love their old cassette tapes?

Cassettes....What are they?....I only use high quality 8-track tapes.

I actually still have a couple of those....somewhere in my basement.

I have a bunch of cassettes but never listen to them.

i'll make legit mix tapes for people and use cassettes instead of burning a CD or emailing them an itunes playlist haha. they get pissed when they can't put it on their ipod.

i have a ton of them still.

pre-recorded and mix tapes i made myself.

since i dont have a tape player in the car anymore - i rarely listen to them ..
but there are some mixed ones i'll play once in a blue moon on the home stereo.

i have some 8-tracks too but i dont have a player hooked up :)

I'm actually trying to find an old cheap tape player at the moment.

Because I'm travelling it's not realistic for me to by cd's and vinyl, not to much anyway as it just ends up being a worry in the post, especially with the vinyl.

but I find plenty of great albums on casset in op shops, so I nead a tape player.

Cassete was the first format I owned music on as a child of the 80's so I have an atachment to it...

I have a huge collection back home, especially of bootlegs I made in the 90's and demos of bands that don't exist anymore... they are classic. casset was a revolutionary era.
