These ghosts of Asian girls start crawling out of electronics, but here's the part that will scare the shit out of you, they'll have hair over their face and walk weird with a lot of editing cuts to make them seem more twitchy and corpsy.

I don't agree VampiricClown. Not everything has been done. As far as classic monsters go, yeah, the lore and legend has been rehashed to death. But we just need some new lore and legend, with new creative ideas and good execution (pardon the pun).

I do agree that there are great classic horror films, and the films that take the same stories to the next level with regard to technology can be pretty cool. Like the Underworld series of films. The whole vampire/werewolf theme is pretty neat with the new visuals and effects. Even Van Helsing was a cool film.

The filmmakers are trying to appeal to the a younger audience, and reintroducing the classic monsters in new ways. There must be someone out there with some new ideas. The only problem is getting a suitable budget, writing, direction and acting to make the thing effective.

I mean, look at Terminator, while not really a "horror" film it was a pretty fresh idea at the time. Look at all the scientific experimentation that's going on in the real world... implanting human cells on a mouse and creating a human ear growth. That's some pretty wacky stuff. There could be some cool films made along the lines of just how far science can go.

I believe the best is still to come. It might take lots of flops before it, but there will be an original horror classic in the future. Besides, there is nothing as good as seeing a great horror movie for the first time. No matter how many times you watch the oldies you can't get that fresh, what's behind the next turn feeling by watching a new one.
