Create a concept monster

Heads together for a new concept in creating our own monster.

What would be its most fearful feature?

Let the imaginations soar.............................:D

Interesting this thread was started today. I was thinking about what scares me about monsters as I was depositing a raccoon that I trapped into the woods, and while a hideous appearance is one of them, its more about the vicious and hateful way they do their business. It's annoying when something that's supposed to be evil stops and roars in some kind of display, or rises in the air with a leer, arms out, toying, etc. Scary monsters (and I include a possessed Jack Nicholson here, as well) are wide-eyed, mad and relentless, and they don't waste any time.

And white eyes with tiny pupils scare the hell out of me.

well let's see...

How about something humanoid, but with no mouth or eyes or features of any kind... like an animated artist's model that follows and follows, haunting you, hanging in the shadows until one morning you awaken featureless...and go off to stalk someone.

To be undistinguished, undifferentiated is a primal fear. It hits us in the psyche, playing on our fear that deep down none of us are special.

Maybe something you can never quite see or if you do, it's in such a shape that the brain just can't quite catagorize it.

The Shadow People - they're invisible head-on and can only be seen in periphery.

It's the scourge of the meth-addict.

*EXACTLY* the same as me! :D I actually had a nightmare one night that involved a prehistoric mammoth rampaging through a busy shopping centre, trampling people in its path. It came straight at me and when I looked into its eyes, there was such a corrupted, completely insane anger going on in them, that it woke me up. I felt sick for a few days - weird, huh?
