Hostel Part II, what a joke

Hostel Part II was a huge disappointment. I highly enjoyed the first Hostel and it falls in one of my favorite movies but the sequel falls short...very short. The movie was extremely boring and contained probably 15-20 minutes of action if that. And when the action came it couldn't look any faker. What disappointed me the most was the ending. I don't know about you guys but I loved the ending in Hostel. It kept you the edge of your seats wanting an encore, I loved it. But the ending in this was so ferocious that my mouth stood open in awe as I thought there is NO way it's actually over. The plot was god-awful, the blood and guts was faker than pamela andersons breasts and the ending sucked more than paris hilton, what more do I have to say. If I had to grade the two I would give Hostel a 7.5/10 and Hostel 2 a 2.5/10. Compare the two and you can only imagine how bad it was.

Here are a few questions you may have.
Was it better than the original? Hell no! Not even close.
Was it more bloody and disgusting? Hell no! It was pretty even.
Is it worth the watch? Of course it's worth the watch but I will admit its very disappointing. If you didn't like the original just wait for the DVD. If you did like the original check it out at the theatres. It's at least better than your avg horror movie.

All in all these are my main points.
-It was NOT as good as the first
-The gore factor was about the same
-It was very disappointing although better than your average thriller
-It had one of the worst endings I have ever witnessed

MAY CONTAIN SPOILDERS:
It had one of those scenes such as the eye scene from the first. And it looked as fake probably 10x worse. I will describe the scene below if you would like to know if your not planning on seeing it

WILL CONTAIN MAJOR SPOILERS!
The scene similiar to the original is a catastration. A mans dick is cut off with I beleive it was scissors and than fed to the dogs. Oh.... and it was fake as hell.

is it not intentionally fake looking as an homage to the movies it celebrates?

Thanks for the review, sad to hear it is disappointing. I will still check it out though.

Are there at least less breasts in this one? I found them a bit annoying in the first...

As did I. The first half of Hostel was nothing more than a light porn film.

What is with all the nudity in films?
When I began watching Hostel I was worried I had got the wrong film.
I was hoping for something better from Hostel 2 (crazy I know) but from the sounds of it thats just not going to happen. I will probably watch it anyway but I will not be racing out to see it.

Didn't work for me much either; I like much of the second half and the end, so I didn't hate the movie, definitely had its moments......but I think Roth was reaching a bit, trying to make a more intelligent film than he was capable of making at this point. I actually enjoyed Cabin Fever, uneven as it was, because I think he accomplished exactly what he was trying for; here I think he was actually trying to make a horror film of some substance, and fell way short. At least that's the way I see, maybe I'm wrong.
