Kids in the Hall
I used to LOVE this show. i havent seen it in almost 2 years, but it had to be one of the funniest sketch comedy shows ever.
Okay, so Bruce McCulloch never really was that funny to me.. but the other guys were brilliant. I have had a long-time love of Kevin McDonald, i get the biggest kick out of the weird ass places he shows up (Senior trip, invader Zim, Lilo and Stitch) Anyone else miss it?

my wife is a huge fan of the show ..
she saw them live .. scott thompson jumped off the stage and sat in the lap of the friend she went with ..(a guy :) my wife thought it was amazing. i never mentioned this because i didnt think you yanks would know this canadian show - but when we were leaving Festival of Fear, walking out of the main doors - my wife turned and said "Scott !" so i turned (i was behind my wife) figuring it was some guy she worked with - and stared right into the face of Scott Thompson .. and involuntarily went 'holy shit' because i wasnt expecting him .. the guy he was with laughed and Scott - who had stopped - gave a big smile and said "hi! .. and my wife froze hahahahahaha too bad because i'm pretty sure he would have been more than happy to let me get a shot of my wife and him .. she would have loved that - but instead she stood there frozen ... poor kid :) she does the same thing at the drive-ins when pressured to order food ...

Scott was always one of my favorites.. Taught me at a young age to have a very open mind about homosexuality. iwasnt sure about him when i first saw the show, but eventually found out for sure, and was like "Hey, if he doesnt think its a big deal, why should i?" I was an insatnt fan when i saw a single sketch where Kevin and Dave were a mrried couple having a party, and Kevin kept saying the absolue worse thing possible for everyone he was meeting. and every time, they would cut to him yelling at his wife... She introduces him to her sister and the guy she is with and he starts off "What were you two doing in the coatroom? Anything wet back there? Doing any squishy things back there?" they both look embarresed. Cut to the bedroom "How the hell was I supposed to know they were having sex? They just met! What is you r sister. some kind of slut?!" next he's telling a joke, and the guy he is ralking to doesnt laugh (scott i believe).. So he repeats the punchline... still no laugh. "What thehell's the matter with you? Dont you get it? What are you, deaf? you deaf or something?" Scott starts crying. Cut to bedroom "How the hell was I supposed to know he was deaf? Youd think he;d be used to it by now!" "He's only recently become deaf, he was in an accident!" "How the hell was I supposed to now that!?" great stuff.

I am a huge KITH fan. My girlfriend also has seen them live. In San Franisco.
you GOTTA buy their box-sets. They are easily worth the money. Unlike American TV series. Canadian TV shows have like 20 episodes on a season ! That is awesome. I love their skits about musicians. It kills me. Kevin Macdonald is my favorite KITH. My girl loves Dave Foley. They're all so talented. Bruce McCulloch has the best dead-pan humor. No one does it better. Their skits can be silly and bizarre. It's great. Greatest export from Canada since Maple Syrup. I'm am so jealous.... Canadian's are so fucking cool.... :mad:
