Funeral Question For the guys

Don't mean to bring anybody's spirts of the halloween day down, but my aunts funeral is tomorrow and my uncle asked me to be a paul bear(SP) That carries the casket. I have never seen this done and I'm wondering do I use both hands or what is a good way to do it ? I am a very small guy so I am lost and I don't want to look like I don't know what i'm doing. Any help ?? Thanks !

I am fairly sure I've seen people do it using both hands. It will probably depend on how many people there are to carry it.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

I've done this and it's completely acceptable to use both hands, but with several people carrying, the weight is distributed rather well - you shouldn't have a problem using one hand and a shoulder.

I think there'll be someone there to talk to that'll help out with this kinda thing...Failing that, use just one hand...it's stylish, and leaves one hand to grope the mourning females, and the feet free to dance. Try a lil' skip hop boogie...
Ok, so I just made light of death. But, cheer up...you'll be ok.
Funeral will probably be boring as shit (no offence), sorry you gotta sit through it, seems like it'd be nothin' but awkward.
RIP to whoever's dead, and take it easy.

Sorry to hear about this too.

The rules are often somewhat flexible at funerals because the main idea is to lay the person to rest and for the attendees to pay their respects. One hand or two, you'll do just fine.

wow... did a google image search to try and find a pic so you could see how it was done, but ended up with a few hundred pics of Gwyneth "Mother of Apple" Paltrow and david Schwimmer's gigantic honker...

45 years old and i've never been a bearer ..
i've only gone to about 3 funerals in my life ... no one in my immediate family has passed away - except for all 4 grand parents and i only went to one of those funerals.

never been called for jury duty either ..which is extremely rare for someone my age.

sorry to hear about your aunt .. like was said above i think with 6 people evening out the weight .. one hand might be enough

Thanks for all of your condolence but she is way better off, she has been suffering from brain cancer for the past year and I couldn't stand seeing her like that. When my father passed away we had him cremated so there was no taking him to the cemetary. Also one of the last things she ever told me brought tears to my eyes, it was about where she was going and she was going to be ok because someone that was very close to me ( that has passed) came to her, I don't know if it was the drugs she was on and just wanted me to be happy or if she really did have a "vistor". Anyways thank you for everything all of you, you all are like family. Perverts or not :D , you all are always there for everyone here and your all great friends, thank you !
