The Day Of The Triffids!!!!

I read this book a long long time ago when i was little. i had no idea that they made a movie about it! woohoo! anyone seen it?

great film, when i was a kid there was series on BBC tv that was'nt half bad as well.

good point. think thew book and the movie (although i havnt seen it) have great plots. killer plants yeah!

The book is sitting on my shelf...never got past the first line. Something to do with "When a day that you know is Wednsady sounds like a Saturday, you know there's something seriously wrong"

I had a good laugh and put the book back on the shelf:p

its funny but i still thought you were talking about Wyndam's Day of the Triffids.

i havent read any wyndam for a long time (the crysalids and the midwich cucoos are a couple others) but the lasting impression i had was that his storys peter out at the end...(i found that with Clive Barker too ... maybe its a UK fantasy author thing)

i though you were referring to that ...

I think you´re forgetting that i´m a co-owner of a book shop. So i don´t have time to read books.;) :D

Only seen the movie. And yes, a remake would be suitable coz its really, really outdated.

A giant plant!! Uuuhhh, scary..
