Body Parts Severed In Brutal Attack

Toronto, Canada - Police recovered a number of severed body parts after a violent incident in an east end home sent a married couple to hospital.

Investigators say the couple was attacked in their Porchester Drive home Friday by a person carrying what is believed to be a large knife or even a sword.

Three suspects, described only as two men and a woman, were reportedly seen running from the home. Two children who live in the home were at school when the attack occurred.

Police are worried that the suspects are still at large in the city.

"We don't know who they are or where they are," Inspector Gordon Delgarno said. Police say the suspects are still armed.

The victims were taken to Sunnybrook Hospital to be treated for injuries described as serious, but not life threatening.

Police recovered body pieces at the scene. The severed body parts were seen wrapped in guaze and placed in plastic bags. Officers say the body parts were taken to hospital.

The woman who was attacked reportedly suffered severe injuries to her hands.

Investigators are not sure what motivated the violent attack but they believe the suspects were known to the victims.
