If you enjoyed Saw

Will this sequel be forced or could we have another shocker on our hands? Only time will tell... Huge casting news as Lions Gate Films' Saw 2, the sequel to last years smash hit, is ready to begin production in Toronto, Canada this month. Whether its October 28th date will still stick is yet to be seen. Darren Bousman Directs the script written by Leigh Whannell (Adam in Saw) and himself. Read on for the full story...

Variety reports:

Production began this week in Toronto on "Saw 2," the sequel to the hugely successful horror thriller "Saw."

Pic stars Donnie Wahlberg, Franky G., Glenn Plummer, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Beverley Mitchell and Eric Knudsen, with Shawnee Smith, Dina Meyer and Tobin Bell returning from the original.

Twisted Pictures, the genre production arm of Evolution Entertainment, and Lions Gate Films are producing the film, skedded for nationwide release on Halloween. Lions Gate Films Intl. will be presenting the pic to international buyers for the first time in Cannes.

"Saw 2" is written by Leigh Whannel and Darren Lynn Bousman, who also is making his feature directorial debut.

Twisted Pictures' Gregg Hoffman, Oren Koules and Mark Burg are producing, as they did on the original. James Wan and Whannel, the director and writer/co-star of the original, are executive producers.

I guess it could work, since the guy never got caught...but it wouldn't have much surprise, since we know who's doing it. I don't know, I think Saw was over-hyped.

Well Saw sucked the big monkey, and Saw 2 the Killer has allready been captured. Its just the same old garbage. Except with more ppl being in a house having to kill eachother.
