For their time those movies were the shit. On a whim though I did buy them on DVD not too long ago, and wellllllll I think I would have been happier catching them on late night tv than to waste the money buying them.

Both those movies are great....The Frog brothers ruled in the lost boys.....and how can you go wrong with the Corey's? And Grandpa was the shit too.........Fright Night was good too....Sure, Charley gets a little whiney, but "Evil" kinda balances it out......

oddle enough when i came out of The Lost Boys - i still remember the night i saw it at the theatre - i had a raging hardon for the soundtrack so i ran across the road and hit Sam the Record Man minutes before it closed.

Took the VINYL !! home and played it and i felt like someone had kicked me in the stomach ..
I couldnt believe how much i hated it and how cleverly the small atmospheric bits were used to such great advantage.
I'm not going to say it was bad .. i just didnt like it and it was a real letdown for me.

the biggest dissapointment was the 'hymn'
Though shalt not ...
Though shalt not ...

sounded killer but it was just the chorous that was good , i really hated the rest of the song ..

I was afraid to fess this up because i've seen people praising it in other threads ...

nothing personal ..

Its all a matter of personal taste really, just because a street bum doesnt have a problem eating a rotten hotdog from the dumpster doesnt mean Im going to chow down with him.

Lost boys still stands up as a great vamp film, Near Dark was better but did nt get recognition it deserved.........
