How the fuck should I know probably!
Why? Because it's a brilliant film, it's so funny, and the soundtrack kicks fucking ass!

I'd say cut off someone's arm and use it for reference, but I'm hoping you meant for film fx. There is some fantastic behind the scenes footage on the 'Flower of Flesh and Blood/ The Making of Guniea Pig' DVD if you don't mind reading subtitles. The fx in that are top notch. Tubing for arteries and such, latex for tendons, resin for bone and something called "oil jelly" (I know- that didn't translate well to me either) they used for skin. Very realistic looking (at least I assume so since I've never cut off an arm myself). You can pick it up at Amazon.com for about $20.

Oh now, you tell me we're talking about fx! son of a bitch!

jk,

Yeah I was thinking of building a foam hand, with tubing built in under the 'skin' and that I could just blow the fake blood through it. There's a great SPFX store here, where you can get just about anything...I'll ask them if they have any ideas on how to do this..

the store: FX Warehouse Inc.

Check the 'SPFX' thread in this same forum. It has more ideas (esp for low budget stuff).
DVP will rise again.

Take care guys

I didn't think of that, thanks for the idea of where to shop for materials.

There's a really thin, clear, plastic tubing you can get somewhere (possibly at a fish tank place, Ich weiss nicht), and for the skin you might want to use pie crust dough or a wax-based thing. Run the tube through the clothes up to the point you want to cut and put the fake flesh (pie crust or wax) on it. Then cut and pump the blood

for the blood:
Equipment

Measuring spoons
Bowl

Ingredients

2-1/2 Tablespoons water
60-70 drops of red food coloring
10-15 drops yellow food coloring
2-3 drops blue food coloring
5-1/2 Tablespoons white corn syrup

Directions

1. Mix all of the food colorings and water together.

2. Slowly stir in the corn syrup until the mixture is thick, but still "slides" down your arm. (This goop will stain your clothing, so don't wear the good stuff!)

For intestines, if you want to go there, try some dialysis tubing filled with fake blood and some jelly
