Urban Legends

No not the movies but I was wondering on what people think of these legends? Wether you think they are based on some truth way down the line or just made up for fright purposes? Maybe you have a favourite Urban Legend or one you'd like to share that we may not of heard?

I always liked the classic killer on the phone is in the house one as used in Black Christmas and When A Stranger Calls.

It's pretty much Urban Legend central. Very cool. There is a pretty nasty one in there with a guy that was running away from the cops, jumped off a freeway (i think), and landed on a wrought iron spiked fence.

The catch? (sorry about the pun)

His head got stuck, but his body hit the ground, so he was decapitated. there are some pretty gruesome pics..

What about the claim that Mr. Rogers was *before his show of course* supposed to be a sniper in Viet Nam. They claimed the reason he wore his trademark red long sleeve sweater was to cover up his various tattoos from his wrists to shoulders. Claimed he had confirmed 300 or so kills.

NOT TRUE.

also said the same thing about John Denver and Capt. Kangaroo

Cows can fart. Supposedly, their farts are raising the methane levels in the atmosphere, and they will kill us all. Godamn environmentalists....

Oh yeah, and Mythbusters showed that with some effort, a stomach can be exploded. But it takes a LOT of effort.
