Some horror movie from early 90's?

When i was a kid, cant been more than 9-11 years or something. Which puts me around -89-91 and leads me to this question thats been nagging me for ages and never found an answer to it.

Anyway back then i saw this horror movie with a friend and i just cant figure out what it was. All i can remember is, it was most likely a horror movie and one thing i can remember very clearly was a green jewel skull, like an emerald. I guess the movie was based around it or those and it might been more than 1 movie in the serie.

But really since i was just a little kid, my mind could been playing some tricks on me, confusing stuff etc. But that green skull.. zombie like stuff? might been some sort of horror/comedy.

it sounds like House II there is a crystal skull the movie is based around. i wouldn't consider it horror but more so fantasy, but its an enjoyable movie.
