Hellboy

I'm sure there was a thread but i searched and didn't find anything three screens in and - to be honest i'm lazy\

so, i just bought the 2 dvd set of this film and was suprised how much i enjoyed it the second time (saw it in the theaters and liked it somewhat. . .)

been a huge fan of the mignola comics, but the fiml was a bit of a disappointment.

also, my god the dvd extras are thorough. . . i swear to god the documentary on the 116 day production lasts 116 days. . . interesting insights into the behind the scenes stuff, but incredibly thorough

I fell in love with the comic years ago. I was always kind of hoping for a series rather than a big movie, because I like the shorts a lot better then the whole nazi/Rasputin/Lovecraft main story type deal. I'd love to see the Wolves of St. Augustine made.

i love this movie, and as for those extras, they're some of the best i've seen for a long time

I love the old cartoons on disc 2...the original Gerald Mc Boing-Boing is pretty cool, and that version of Tell-Tale Heart is all kinds of kickass.

Anyway, ya...Hellboy is one of my favourites. Great fun. I'd never read the comics prior to seeing the movie, but Ive tracked down a couple and really enjoyed what Ive read.

Also excited for the sequel.
