Slaughterhouse Of The Rising Sun (2004)
 DVD description: The year is 1971. Jennifer, a troubled actress, is institutionalized following psychotic visions on the set of her latest film. Upon her release, Jennifer becomes stranded in the desert only to be rescued by a colorful band of nomadic rebels..Helpless and alone, Jennifer has no choice but to follow them and is subtly but swiftly inducted into their family. That night, a local desert dweller, tells them of an abandoned house and warns them to stay away..The family ignores the warnings and uses the house as their latest crash pad.. Jennifer becomes further plagued by sinister visions that reduce her ability to seperate reality from fantasy.. Soon members of the family are mysteriously killed one by one in the legend known as the " Slaughterhouse of the Rising Sun ".. STORY: 3 out of 5: I quess when your a hippie you'll stay anywhere...Jennifer's visions keep the story going... ACTORS QUALITY: 3 out of 5: Everyone played their part good.. VIOLENCE: 3 out of 5: Lots of killing, but they could of mixed it up alot more.. GORE:3 out of 5: 1 good scene and other blood scenes.. SPECIAL EFFECTS: 3 out of 5: All the scenes looked good and Jenny's visions look real good.. LOVE: 1 out of 5: Jenny's into adult entertainment... FINAL THOUGHTS: This movie looks and feels like it was made in the 70's.. At the beginning they say it is from that era, but from what I read it was made in 04....This is the 1st movie that I have seen that stated it has the feel and look of early horror and was true...Great job, it had me believing it..Anyways if you like The Hills Have Eyes and Last House on the Left, then you should enjoy this one...I enjoyed it for only this one time... OVERALL SCORE: 4 out of 5:ALways rent before buying, but check it out

You liked it? I thought it was terrible. The last thing I want to see when I watch a horror movie is a bunch of hippies playing grabass out in the desert, which was pretty much all this movie was for the first hour or so. Ah well, different strokes, and all that.
