when i was 20 years younger ....
the stuff i loved was all quirky .. a lot of it was on Stiff Records .
- elvis costello - lena lovich - thomas dolby - the yachts - ian gomm - ian dury and lots of the steve lilywhite and similar bands : - the icicle works - simple minds - the colour field - red lorry yellow lorry - psycedellic furs - gang of four - flesh for lulu - echo and the bunnymen - the wonder stuff etc. etc. etc.. (when i wasnt listening to : the pistols buzzcocks black flag killing joke soft boys etc, etc etc any of the older members remember any of these older bands ? the younger ones will hate this stuff to death but oh well, its what I grew up on :)

Not real familiar with those...When I was 20 years younger, I was listening to:
Black Sabbath Iron Maiden AC/DC Nine Inch Nails (Trent was pretty new then ;)) Quiet Riot Def Leppard Lynard Skynard Judas Priest Led Zeppelin Bob Segar Twisted Sister Queen Cyndi Lauper Prince Sooo many more...But, I'm sure you get the idea...

I wasn't really big on the "new wave" stuff. I did like Elvis Costello,Simple Minds, some Ian Dury and Thomas Dolby.
A few you didn't mention that i liked were Underworld The The Frankie Goes to Hollywood But i guess for the most part i was and still am "STUCK IN THE 70s" Allman Bros Skynyrd Black Sabbath Zepplin AC/DC Bad Co ect.ect.ect.
