Best horror of 2016?
2016 was a pretty down year for horror, IMO. I am looking forward to It. Especially in light of the clown gangstalking. But what was the best of the mediocre this year?

Loved The Witch.
I enjoyed Conjuring 2 and The Shallows enough to put them at numbers two and three but neither film had any great impact on me. Don't Breathe was a fun watch but never felt like a Horror movie to me.

Out of those offered I think I would choose Baskin or Witch.
I chose 'Other', however, as I enjoyed the Korean zombie movie Train to Busan more than these. Best psychological horror: The Blackcoat's Daughter Best killer horror: Cat Sick Blues Best scary horror: The Blackcoat's Daughter again, as it creeped me the fuck out. No other movie scared me this year. Most enjoyable horror movie: Train to Busan. A great zombie movie! Zombies were a real threat, the characters were explored enough to care about them and the violence was visceral without being tacky. I really enjoyed this one. My most enjoyable movie experience this year..... Either Re-animator (1985) or The Thing (1982)
