Best real life serial killers life made into a film..

Ive been having a think and theres a few really good films based on real life serial killers.
My personal fave is The Gray Man,the story of Albert Fish. Its not overly gory etc but is simply well acted~Patrick Bauchau(he was also in Carnivale etc) is wonderful as our leading man.
Whats your favourite??

Not seen that but I loved Patrick Bauchau in Carnivale so added to my "must watch" list.

I'm not really a huge of real serial killer movies cos they have to be toned down out of respect for the victims friends and families-but off the top of my head I'll go with Deranged (based on Ed Gein).

I like Ed Gein from 2000,particularly when they talk about slippage around the dinner table and the Mum says"oh you boys!!".I also love the scene where he sees his mum in a burning bush.It really gets into his mind set that film.I like that.
I havent seen Deranged yet..Ill have to put that on my wish list.!

The Hillside Strangler was ok but heavily toned down-they (both the strangler and his mate were killers if I remember right-hope I'm not getting confused it's been quite a while since I saw the movie or read about the killings) were seriously sick fucks those two real killers. Will look up the others cheeers-I need to see Dahmer as well-anyone seen it? Any good?

Ed Gein (2000) was basically a homely round the log fire, family friendly little house on the prairie movie compared with Deranged: Confessions Of A Necrophile. I think you will be very pleasantly surprised if you get the chance to see it :)

Can't recommend Deranged enough. Brilliant stuff along with Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer. The Wiz made a good call with Snowtown too a must see if you like your gritty character driven flicks.

Not a serial killer of course but Jim Van Bebber's The Manson Family is fucking top notch shit.
