Greetings, boys and ghouls!

Hello all you happy tax-payers. I am an old-fashioned, 19-year old geeky curmudgeon who doesn't have a life beyond drawing and watching vintage cartoons from the 20's-60's, Jim Henson stuff, and old horror movies. I love anything by Edgar Allen Poe, Mark Twain, and John Steinbeck (Of Mice and Men being my favorite book), and my favorite video games are the Genesis Sonic games, PS1 Crash Bandicoot, the first three Rayman, and the Paper Mario series.
When it comes to the horror genre, while I do love many films from all eras (I even have a few silent films), I find I'm partial to monster movies from the 70's and 80's. For me, it's just not as fun watching people kill people, but rather monsters eat people (though there are exceptions). I love anything by Alfred Hitchcock, Joe Dante, Critters, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Deadly Spawn, Tremors, Jaws, Abbot & Costello Meet Frankenstein, The Stuff, both Fly movies (though I prefer the original), the Blob remake, Phenomena, Dolls, Basket Case, Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Nosferatu, the Universal B&W monster movies, Them!, Empire of the Ants, Night of the Hunter, Alligator, Nighmare on Elm Street, Let's Scare Jessica to Death. and a few others I don't recall at the moment. Also a huge fan of Tales from the Crypt.
I'm afraid I don't really keep up with new movies all that much (there's usually about 2-3 movies a year at the most I'm remotely interested in, that's about it), so I'll probably be rather 'out of touch' (the most recently-made film I own was made in 1998).
