Comrade Ilsa's Cranberry Sauce
Its that time of year again. I did sometesting for Sundays Xmas dinner last night (a new Roastie recipe and this Canberyy Sauce).
I made this last night - really good: ![]() 12oz of Fresh Cranberries (frozen will do if you must) 1 cup of Sugar Juice and zest of 2 Oranges (about 1/2 Cup) 1 and 1/3 to a 1 and 1/4 cup of Vodka 1) Put the cranberries into a small saucepan, add Sugar, orange zest and juice. 2) Place the pan over a medium heat and bring to a simmer. Cook gently for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring to help break up the berries. 3) Drink 1 cup of Vodka and toast Mother Russia. Add the Vodka (1/4 cup or so) about 5 mins from the end. 5) Let it cool. then serve with your Xmas dinner.. |
