Rare Exports and Sint - Foreign Christmas Horror for 2010

Apparently it's a great year for Christmas horror...

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale

Imported from Finland

Summary: In the depths of the Korvatunturi mountains, 486 metres deep, lies the closest ever guarded secret of Christmas. The time has come to dig it up! This Christmas everyone will believe in Santa Claus.

Website: http://www.rareexportsmovie.com/en

Trailer:

I'm hoping to check out this out this weekend.

...

Sint

Imported from the Netherlands

Summary: A horror film that depicts St. Nicholas as a murderous bishop who kidnaps and murders children when there is a full moon on December 5.

Trailer:

I doubt it'll get a US theatrical release, but I'll be checking it out as soon as it comes out on DVD.

I posted these elsewhere, but here are the two short films that served as predecessors to Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale:

Rare Exports Inc.

Rare Exports: The Official Safety Instructions

I think I posted about it when i saw it..,maybe it was another forum but I really liked it.

Found it:

This is the start of my XMAS FILM viewing..

Wanted to see MONSTERS yesterday but it wasn't showing as the print never arrived due to the shitty weather - so went into see London Boulevard but missed it cos of the traffic so ended up seeing this.

It wasn't half bad but it kinda falls between stools and isn't totally sure what kinda of film it is. It starts off pretty grim and gritty and then in the middle it lightens up completely. The cutesy ending worked though..
Reminded me a bit of some of Joe Dante's stuff. The film has also filled my quota for old mans shriveled penis for the rest of the year. I'm sorry I didn't bring some mince pies and mulled wine to this (though I did have some Devil's Bit there was no way to heat or mull it in the cinema).
