Halloween Mix

Our local party supply store is fully stocked for Halloween and that includes the incredibly cheesy Halloween mix CDs with horror movie themes (never the original music, just crappy versions). Of the half dozen or so that were there they included the following movie themes:

Halloween
Carrie
The Exorcist (Tubular Bells)
Jaws
The Amityville Horror
Nightmare On Elm Street
Psycho
Rosemary's Baby
The Omen (Ave Satani)
The Shining

It got me to thinking, apart from having all the original themes to the movies mentioned, what would be the best horror movie themes for a Halloween party? Some main titles I would pick:

Alien - Jerry Goldsmith
Cannibal Holocaust - Riz Ortolani
Dawn Of The Dead - Goblin
Profondo Rosso - Goblin
Aliens - James Horner
Suspiria - Goblin
Phantasm - Fred Myrow, Malcolm Seagrave
Tourist Trap - Pino Donaggio
Sisters - Bernard Herrmann
Stendhal Syndrome - Ennio Morricone

Oh man, I love Hallowe'en music. I collect any of it that I can find. I have gigs upon gigs of the stuff. I make a mix every year to give out. I especially love the rock 'n roll novelty songs.

Definitely check out Neverending's online radio station:

During October, he has a secondary station that plays all Hallowe'en and horror related stuff. It's great.

I enjoy his radio station and look forward to October and the Halloween station.

My iPod is stuffed with music from horror movies; can't get enough of it. I also love Halloween novelty songs. Playing "Monster Mash" on the big day is a necessity.

Two more essential Halloween pieces:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kc0x...next=1&index=5

I like "Father's Day" and "Something To Tide You Over"; they were both used in the Grindhouse fake trailer "Thanksgiving".
