favorite argento film besides deep red or suspiria

I ask because there seems to be 2 camps with argento, those who say suspiria is his masterpiece and those who say deep red is, for me, it's deep red. Besides that though, my favorite film of his besides those 2 would have to be 'the bird with the crystal plumage' i really love the Hitchcock aspect to it and the film kept me guessing until the end. I see it as one of his films where the story develops very nicely and doesn't get lost in the shuffle like so many of his later films.

Same here. I like that one a lot more than Suspiria or Deep Red. Sleepless is a close second.

i've seen sleepless and opera, i liked both but i thought they weren't as good as his other films. One thing i hated about opera was the soundtrack. I remember alot of guitars. I had opera movie on dvd but i lost it about a year ago, still have the case though, same with suspiria and inferno. I have no idea what happened to them. I need to get new copies but i'm holding out for a bluray release.

Tenebre was, imo, his best. Suspiria was great, but I don't care that much about it as of lately (still like the climax, less the fail ending of course).

His best? I need to go back and watch it again, i love deep red. To me that's his one movie where the script feels complete. Story makes perfect sense and there's plenty of great death scenes and quite a bit of humor. Also after seeing the ending i went back and watched the "scene" (people who have seen it will know what i mean) you can totally see what happened but it blends right in, complete mind fuck and absolutely brilliant how dario pulled it off so smoothly.
