Jodorowsky's "King Shot"
I'm sure to many this is old news, but I figured might as well throw a thread up about it.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0892411/ Alejandro Jodorowsky has supposedly been working on this for quite some time now, but funding keeps dropping out. I read an article earlier this year about how David Lynch's production company, Absurda, was supposedly picking it up: http://www.variety.com/index.asp?lay...117986082&cs=1 Another interesting development (that keeps my spirits up) from earlier this year: Cinematographer legend Vilmos Zsigmond (The Deer Hunter, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Sadist) Let's all keep our fingers crossed for this one. It'd be huge for one final film by El Jodo to see the light of day and the eyes of fans like myself, Elvis, and Return, as far as I know. Here's hoping this isn't all just wishful thinking.

Good for him, I saw Holy Mountain and it blew me away, this should be good. Guy's pretty old at this point if im correct, kudos for making new movies.

Looks like a very interesting production with the 1-2 punch of Jodorowsky and Lynch. And it will also be nice to see Arielle Dombasle in something more international again. A very interestingly assembled cast.

If it happens, it'll be great, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

This movie is the very definition of "Development Hell".
I'd LOVE to see it get made, but it's been in production so long that I doubt it'll ever see the light of day. Jodorowsky can't have too many years left in him, sadly. BUT the idea of Jodorowsky and David Lynch teaming up is an absurdist film lover's dream come true. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

Exactly. It's such a shame.

Still isn't set in stone, but here's a damn solid bit of news. Things are looking infinitely more promising:

Woohoo!
And I still can't believe Vilmos Zsigmond is shooting this. So amazing.

For sure...as if having Jodorowsky and Lynch together wasn't badass enough.
