Sea Legends
I really love reading up on old fishermen and sea-fairing legends and lore, stuff like sea serpents, ghosts, ghost ships, mermaids, and pirates. You know the sort of storys fishermen would tell each other around a fire or on a whaling ship, real old time storys, the mysteries of the deep and all that. You catch my drift. Other than The Fog and Pirates of the Carribian(which isn't horror of course), do any of you know any good horror movies, or horror books that have to do with legends and lore of the sea? Please post I'd be very happy!:D

Eyes of the Amaryllis
It's stupid, but it's what you're looking for.

Ghost Ship is the thing that comes to mind, but it doesnt have "legends" or "lore". Youve probably seen it anway.

You'll have to check out "She Creature" [2001]
A pretty good killer mermaid movie with special effects from Stan Winston Studios. |

Try Deep Rising, it's a fairly decent sea monster movie. Also Dagon, pretty much based on H. P. Lovecraft's stories about elder gods from the seas and thier hybrid children.
