Mushroom hunters find skull

A couple was out walking in the Swedish woods looking for mushrooms when they found a human cranium not far from the home of ABBA star Benny Andersson. The police suspects murder.

The man and woman were out walking collecting mushrooms when they around 4:30 p.m. Sunday found a cranium, half buried, not far from the home of Benny Andersson in Skåne, Sweden. When they realized what they had discovered, they immediately contacted the police, according to the Swedish paper Aftenbladet.

“We are investigating this as a murder. We have taken the cranium and delivered it to the medico-legal clinic in Lund,” said Charley Nilsson, press officer at the police department.

The area was last night closed off and guarded. The police will look for more body parts Monday.

“As of now, we don’t know age or gender of the person. We believe the cranium has been there everything from a couple of months to a couple of years,” Nilsson said.
