Battlestar Galactica Questions

I apologize for this not being in the TV forum, but i know it's a pretty dead spot.

maybe after a bit this can be moved there .... but i have a couple of questions - and at the same time give this excellent show some exposure for anyone else like me who hadn't seen it before.


1) why was season 2 broken into 2 parts (2.0 and 2.5) ?

2) at what part in the series does the movie Razor fit in

3) are there any other movies (apart from the origional miniseries) ?


i know i could google this stuff .. but then there wouldnt be a discussion.

American tv always seems to do this now...I dunno, some midseason break thing probably...

2) at what part in the series does the movie Razor fit in
Razor is the back story of one of the characters introduced (as I recall) in season 2, tells the story of "what happened before" they came into the series, but also kind've runs alongside...? You can pretty much watch it whenever you like though.

3) are there any other movies (apart from the origional miniseries) ?

No other movies, but there was a web series called "battlestar galactica: resistance, which is about the "army" he humans form in "cylon occupied caprica" I'd probably watch this before getting to season 3...runs alongside 2 as I recall.

I think Razor fits in the last half of season 2 but it's split between that and flashbacks to a time right at the beginning of the war.

There's another movie in production right now, I can't remember what it's called though. There's also going to be some kind of spinoff series.

Why isn't it as cool as the original?!

Yeah, I get that...but, non-comparatively it stands very well on its own.
I'm not 100%, but I think this show might still end up tying into that as a sequel of sorts.

Dunno 'bout a new movie, but yeah the next thing is the "Caprica" series, which I assume is the events leading up to the first attacks.

i think it's in the 4th season now ..

i bought seasons 1,2 and 3 as well as a seperate movie that came out.

season 1 starts with a miniseries ... i was hooked almost immediately
