Fringe

I was vaguely aware of this show from the banner ads at the top of the screen and from spots on the radio, but I heard an interview with one of the actors this morning and now my interest is piqued. Has anyone watched it and if so, is it good? They were saying it was similar to Lost in complexity, but easier to understand, and that everythign that happens is grounded in at least plausible science.

Ah
No wonder this was familiar.
I did watch an episode where the lead male actor (can you believe he was in Urban Legends? Ha) was working with his insane dad....

I'll have to catch up with this one.
Too bad I didn't see this earlier, it was on last night.

Joshua Jackson. He was Pacey in Dawson's Creek (Bree was a fan, because she liked him). He's a pretty good actor. I guess the Steward of Gondor from the Lord of the rings movies plays his crazy-ass dad. It sounded interesting, and after cloverfield, I think i aqm ready to give a JJ Abrhams show a chance (not lost though...)

I also like Joshua Jackson, I have NO idea why.....but I do. :D Anyway, I haven't watch any of Fringe yet, I missed the first few episodes but I have the last two or three episodes recorded. I was going to watch the others online. But I would be interested to read what others here thought first. I watch LOST, but I'm behind (still have over half of last season to watch) because honestly I was getting a bit frustrated.

Yeah I wasn't really planning on watching it but my mom and grandma aid it was really good and that I'd like it. Then my brother showed me this past episode and I was like Damn this looks very promising.

I cant watch this kind of thing on TV, but if the DVD isn't too pricey I'll check it out for sure. Looks pretty cool.

I really enjoy it. Reminds me of the X-files but instead of the government hiding and creating things it's a cooperation.

I thought the first ep of "the eleventh hour" seemed like a better x-files wannabe than this one was.
I watched most of the first ep...but in all honesty it didn't keep me interested.

i liked the first one but then thought it got silly (BONES-style) once the 'mad scientist father' popped up - so stopped watching after second episode or so.

i'm sorry to hear 11th hour isn't very interesting - i haven't caught an episode yet but liked the british version when i saw some of it.
