Please help settle an arguement

Ok. I'm new here. I have been in this "debate" with someone for a few days now.

Was there a movie called, "House of 1000 Corpses" before Zombie's 2002 version?

TIA

I didn't think so. I am in my mid 30's and have been watching horror movies since I was a little kid. I had never heard of a movie with that title until Zombie's release. The only movie I could come up with that my friend might be thinking of is "House of 7 Corpses" but she insists that isn't it. *sigh*

I was thinking that the film's title sounded familiar, but for reasons I can't put my finger on. It jsut sounds...familiar. Yeah.

Yeah, I checked there too. I have been to probably every movie site there is trying to find out who is right. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. However, this time, I knew I was right. There are many movies with a title close to House of 1000 corpses but I'm damned sure Zombie's is the one and only
