My Name is OK....... Urge OK

Watched Casino Royale last night and was falling in love with it all over ..
wanted to see it again for the benefit of my son (and a barometer) because we're seeing Quantum of Solice this Saturday.

it had some flaws ...

- the 1st bond girl was stunning but couldnt act .. her laugh .. yikes !
- vesper lynn was annoying in the beginning - couldnt stand it when she spoke ... she was better - more natural ...after she started falling for bond. (maybe that was the point - but it still irritated me)

but the pluses ! wow

- the best title sequence in a Bond film by far - great song too.
- back to basics with a more physical, brutal bond
- no stupid gadgets
- a fairly complex story (compared to the past)

I'm so freaking pumped for the next one that i want to watch casino royale evey night this week (but i wont)

am i alone here or is anyone else chomping at the bit ?

I still havent seen casino royale, can you believe that? I wasnt interested at first, but the more I saw of daniel craig's intensity, i got more and more into wanting to see it (I am a die hard bond fan since i was 5, first one for me was for your eyes only ina drive in), i have seen all of them MANY times, even that detestable woody allen Casino Royale.

I enjoyed Austin Powers on a level that only my dad could have appreciated, and of course he couldnt be bothered to see it.

We had it from Netflix almost a year ago and it wound up back in the mail somehow without me seeing it...

So i must before I see Quantum, and i am dying to.

holy crap - how could a diehard bond fand not have seen this movie yet ??!!
even my wife liked it. (bond films are laughingly sexist - most women despise them)

Craigs Bond fixes everything that was wrong with the series since the 1st few.

and you absolutely have to see it before Quantum ... apparently it picks up right where Casino leaves off...

I am a James Bond fanatic. I've seen all the movies at least once (On Her Majesty's Secret Service is not a favorite), but I really loved what they did with Daniel Craig and Casino Royale. He has really become my favorite Bond and has taken the Bond legacy to a whole new level. I am hoping to see Bond next weekend with my dad. We've seen every Bond movie together in the theater since The Living Daylights. Can't wait!

I could never manage to get into any of the Bond movies at all...

But...It's cool that you're so excited about it :D

I'm wb........newb

Always been a fan of Bond. Ever since watching Dr. No as a small boy......hell..Ursla Andress walking out of the water in her white bikini may have been my first boner.

And I love the gadgets.....probably why I was also a big fan of Get Smart when I was a kid. Now that I'm a "mature" [ hee hee] movie watcher I don't mind that they did away with the gadgets and I really like the last Bond.

So YES......I am looking forward to the new one.

Craig has been the best Bond on the scene, after Sean Connery. He has literally nailed the Bond Ian Fleming always imagined of...I am sure if Ian was alive today, he would be pretty proud.

I thought the guy who was Le Chiffre did a very good job too. He captured the essence of the character quite well. Vesper could have had more meat (all puns intended!), but she was competent till the end.

Quantum has been getting rave reviews and blockbuster openings wherever it has opened so far, so yeah...it should be good. Real good.

Good times ahead for the franchise. Hope they keep the quality going.

Casino Royale was a good Bond movie for sure but personally I missed some of the gadgets. I also didn't like Bond having to be rescued constantly, but we'll see where the next movie takes him.

I like the Bond Craig plays but I don't like Daniel Craig himself. He always seems so moody and ungrateful.

As for Quantum, many of my friends, several of them HUGE Bond fans who loved Casion Royale, HATED it. They said it's pointless, boring and doesn't feel like a film in itself, more like a bridge between Royale and the next one.

Casino Royale was a great film, and the song was brilliant.

I think everybody has favourite Bonds. Who are yours? Mine go:

Roger Moore - He just exuded class, which was exactly as people wanted Bond at that time.

George Lasenby - Similar to the above and also he played the ending scene of One Her Majesty's Secret Service brilliantly. A really touching scene where Bond has been so affected by the tragedy, he can't hide his emotion.

Daniel Craig - True to the books.

Piers Brosnan - Seemed to have a good balance of fighter and class.

Sean Connery - I just find him overrated. He was okay, but I preferred all of the above.

Timothy Dalton - Terrible. The man's lucky he redeemed himself with his performance in Hot Fuzz.
