Next year...

Just wondering what the gameplan is for your next year?
Nothing like NY resolutions - just wherever it looks like reality will take you.

So here's mine...
A while back as some of you might remember, I got pretty into the cooking thing to the point I actually enrolled in chef studies. Due to a couple of things, an unsupportive job and a few debt-related issues, I got a little pissed off and dropped it. Still cooked and all, just decided not to take the studies any further.
Thing is, I was good at it and I've realised that even if only for personal interest I should go back and complete it.
This time I guess I'll only be applying for jobs that actually entail a lot of cooking - if they want a dishwasher/stock guy they can hire one...need to be learning and that's what I'm going with (spare the chime-ins about starting from the bottom...because that's what I'm doing, just not becoming the "spare") this time.

So I'm redoing everything that I didn't get a distinction in last time (I got about 9 as I recall) just to see if I can better my score, not to mention it's fun for me.

Other than all that...just working my way towards debt freedom, and hitting up the gym to trim myself a little more into shape - which having done the cooking thing before, lets me know this is something I'll need.

Funny how working a year in a REALLY crappy job with no chance of progression can change things for you, hm?

Also going to put together my first hydroponics and my girls first airponics bay.

May be having my younger brother live with me for 6 months someplace in '09.

So, plans?

next year - hopefully get to at least yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do ..
And get my knee back in shape to the point where i can play men's 2's beach volleyball without an ambulance on standby.

in other words - GET IN SHAPE !

i also hope to take some camera model specific courses plus a college level photography course.

I want to get the library built and the books all sorted out and on the shelves.
Hardwood floor in the library and dining room.

maybe do a little writing (i say this every year)

have more fun this summer with my kid (last summer was literally a wash out - rained every day for 2 weeks when we were off together)

take the family to cuba sometime after christmas.

see my godson more ...

have fun !

More writing...probably study abroad for a year or so...probably in Scotland or some other country besides France and Great Britain...no particular reason for the choosing of this country. Nothing against the brits or Frenchies (you guys are great), but I hear alot of people visit GB while in Europe--and I don't hear much of any other besides France...and working.

Settle down.

I don't mean getting married. I have a house I think I'm going to stay in for awhile. I have a decent paying job with good stability. So I'm basically going to stop roaming from place to place and do what I love most: write and catch up on my horror.

Oh, and I might do a small project...
