Credit Card Fraud
Luckily I caught it before they did some major damage, but I just found the following transaction on my credit card:
CENTER COMPANY 888-856-8228 FL Calling the number brings me to voicemail. And Googling the transaction brings me to a string of complaints about this fraudulent company and charge. Needless to say, I just canceled my credit card. The charge was only for $9.15, but I get the feeling that a lot of cc fraud now revolves around making a series of small transactions with the hopes that the account owner won't notice. Guess I wanted to throw this post up there for a warning - It might not necessarily be "CENTER COMPANY" that goes after you. Just keep a close eye on your credit card statement (personally, I've gone "paperless" and will sometimes make my monthly payment without even looking at the individual transactions) and make sure all those damn charges are yours. sigh I hate people. |

we had 2 credit cards and out ATM cards compromised at the beginning of the year because the chain of grocery stores we shop at had it's database hacked and EVERYONE's account information was snagged.
Luckily, we didnt lose any money, but it was 2 weeks of fucking phone calls and a trip to the bank to get everything cleared up and the new cards set up. |

I was trying to think of ways that my CC was compromised, and I honestly couldn't figure out how... I make a lot of internet purchases, but I am generally very careful about it... I wonder if that's what happened. It seems as though "CENTER COMPANY" has hijacked cards on a fairly big scale. |
