Easter Eggs
I dont think I've personally every come across one, but I know there's a couple really cool ones out there, i just read this on IMDB for Momento:
"in the Limited Edition DVD (and in the standard Region 2 edition) allows the movie to be watched in the exact chronological order of the events in the film. The first couple scenes of the regular cut of the movie appear normal in this version, meaning they are not reversed. However, this version of the movie is on Disc 2, is quite difficult to reach (the user must answer several questions and solve a puzzle), and forward, reverse and chapter skip capabilities are disabled" Anyone know of any good, interesting ones like this? |

I can't remember how to get there, but on Spider-Man 2 I found a clip of Alfred Molina in full Doc Ock costume singing "If I Were A Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof.

The Terminator 2 special edition has a hidden version that is the extended cut with the alternate ending; basically old sarah conner and middle aged john conner (actor from the opening scene of the movie, minus the scar makeup) in a happy future with john's kid(s).
I dont remember exactly what part of the menu you have to go to, but it is where you select the version you want (theatrical or extended) then you enter the date of Judgement Day (8/27/1997 i think) A quick google search will get you a better explanation. |

yeah there are entire web pages dedicated to easter eggs.
i remember when every software program would have one - all the microsoft ones especially ... doom levels, flight simulators, etc.. do they still do that ?

they were in MS Word, Excel, etc .. regular software programs one of them had a doom level, the other a flight simulator .. cant remember which is which .. it was amazing how much bogus hidden code was delivered with the software.

Seriously, though. especially in a company like microsoft, people just dont have time for fun stuff like that any more, and with the levels of effort put into making sure every piece of programming code is clean and works with everythign else, you cant afford to have chunks that dont belong to the core functionality hanging out and possibly causing conflicts. Its sad, but its "progress". |

I've never looked for them, but there are supposed to be scenes in The Rocky Horror Picture Show where you can see random Easter eggs (literally) on the set. Apparently they had an Easter Egg hunt on the set but didn't find them all.
