Gallhammer
This Japanese band is really fuckin' impressive. Crust Punk/Black Metal styles which I always dig but the fact this is a all girl band really makes them unique and killer to me. Ill Innocence was one of the coolest albums of 2007:

Absolutely! I liked them since 'Gloomy Lights', back when they were fairly unknown. Raw stuff (in a good way), which is quite refreshing when so many new bands these days try to dazzle the listener with technicality and intricacy.. But sometimes the primitive approach can be more effective.

Gloomy Lights is killer, got that one too. I dig on the primative raw sound too.
I'm digging a lot more black metal stuff for that reason. Tech/Death metal bores me these days. I guess bombarding myself with D-Beat/Crust/Thrash over the last few years turing into a fan of Black Metal was inevitable.... |
