Strike Casualty List

...Thought we could talk about the shows that we've seen get canned/delayed on account of this....

So,
*Aliens in America
*Chuck
*Reaper
*Heroes
*Smallville
To name a few

...More?
Anyone know where to obtain news about their progress with the situation...this is fucked up, most of what I watch/dl is gone thus far...

I know 24 was canned.

I am glad Dexter was all finished up before the strike. Even though the next season might be delayed because of it though.

CANNED canned?
or just...on hiatus? ha
Seems funny, I thought they had most done already until Sutherlands legal probs...I hope we'll see more of that.

So, since the fans cried out for more JERICHO, and got that put back on, do you think that now with all these shows temporarily (or as I'm sure in some cases, permanently) off the air, will Jericho have a better chance this time 'round?
As far as I'm aware, they would've done the entire "completion" of that part of the series by now...

Hmmm... Dexter, that's definitely one that I'm going to have to check out... I've heard such SUCH good things, checked out the Season Premier, and was impressed. I'll have to wait until I can rent/Netflix it.

...

In regards to my stories that I watch on a weekly basis, the only one that I've noticed come to a grinding hault is The Office.

Honestly, in regards to the Strike, I support the writers, I really do. So I haven't been paying THAT much attention to whether or not there are new episodes... It's The Office that I miss, though... It's my little bright light on Thursday Nights.

But, honestly, I hope that the writers get what they want.

Until then, I guess I'll just spend more time on the Interweb.

haha

That's funny. I just asked you about Dexter in the other thread and here you are replying to this speaking of Dexter. It is in my honest opinion the best show on television, hands down. Just look online for it. I watched the final two episodes of this season on the net and they aren't even on yet lol. Tonight is the second to last episode and next week is the finale but they leaked online and good quality too. I am sure if you search around the web a bit you can find the whole first season on there.

@Phalanx - In regards to 24 I think it is just on hiatus. But I am sure they filmed an episode or too but due to rewrites that needed to be done they just canned it for this year.

Yeah, I noticed that... Great minds, huh? :p

The boyfriend and I don't get the Premium Channels, so there's really no way that we'd be able to catch them live... I'll definitely add them to my Netflix queue as I am incredibly intrigued by the subject matter and have heard such great stuff about it.

...

It's funny, I used to be REALLY emotionally involved/addicted to the hour-long action/drama/whathaveyours, but not that much this year.

Last Year's Story Schedule:
Monday Night: Heroes
Tuesday Night: House MD
Wednesday Night: Lost
Friday Night: Battlestart

But, alas...

Heroes - Honestly, I LOVED Season 1, but couldn't get through the Season Premier. It was boring and definitely took itself WAY too seriously. I haven't touched Season 2 since.

House MD - Still watch it and love it... But, from what I can tell, it hasn't been affected by the Strike so far (sure, it's on hiatus, but they're doing a really good job at making it seem like a "holiday hiatus," whether or not that's really true).

Lost - Season 1 was AMAZING. Season 2 was either OK or AMAZING. Season 3 I thought was so bad that I just gave up on it... I haven't watched any this year and don't feel as though I'm missing much... Correct me if I'm wrong, Lost Watchers. I'm certainly open to accepting it again.

Battlestart Galactica - It's just not on yet... Though I have to say that I am SO excited for its return (March I believe is the least update that I heard?)

...

This Year's Story Schedule
Monday - Nothing. Usually watch a Netflix movie.
Tuesday - House MD
Wednesday - Kid Nation and DVR Pushing Daisies (though I'm falling behind on watching - I think I'll just wait and buy Season 1. I love that show so much)
Thursday - Survivor (my boyfriend's family watches it. I come along for dinner. This year it's in China and I feed off of the gorgeous scenary alone... Makes me feel nostalgic for my time there). And then The Office and 30 Rock.
Friday - Watch a Netflix movie or try to, you know, get out

So, that being my current TV schedule, the only shows that would possibly be impacted by the strike are House, The Office (which IS impacted), 30 Rock (which I haven't seen impacted YET), and Pushing Daisies (which I'm falling behind on).

I think you will really fall in love with Dexter. I really feel that way. You seem like the type of woman that would have an amazing interest with someone who is a Blood analyst and who moonlights as a serial killer. :) Plus all the collecting of the blood you've been doing.

There is NOTHING I watch on network TV now. I will agree with Gore...Dexter is The best thing on Pay TV at the moment......a most excellent show. Californication was also a great show. HBO has Curb.....thats it for me.

Any TV I watch is on DVD. I rarely ever watch a show on network television. Hell, I usually just watch shows off of TV. And I don't mean current shows (the only current show I watch online is South Park). I mean older TV shows, childhood favorites of mine. Examples: Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (before they became shit).

I do watch some pay TV shows. I have HBO, so I like to tune into Entourage when I get the chance. I don't have Showtime, so I haven't seen Dexter. But, from what I'm hearing about it, I'm definitely picking up the first season shortly.

The Office you say... Well I guess this is one of those "On the bright side of Life "storys then.... The American version is horrible..
