Felix de di dos Cat
The Boy Who Spoke To Fred
Marley's Ghost (c) 2007 I woke up last night, wearing a frown I don't know why I was sad, there was no one around As I pondered my plight with this feeling of dread A thought came like a flash, "I must speak to Fred" You see Fred is my buddy though no one can see him And he always shows up when i'm feeling grim He makes me do things that make me uneasy When I speak to Fred he makes me all queasy But he's my friend just the same, a friend like no other He helped bury my father along with my brother They wouldn't talk to me,weren't there when I needed But Fred was there to speak when I pleaded He spoke of things that I would never utter To family or friends they would make my heart flutter And he brought some toys that I cherish for life Some razors and a hatchet and a big bowie knife The knife is my favorite, fits in the palm of my hand Or concealed in its sheath until it fits my plan And out in a second, it shimmers in the light Until the blood starts to flow then I hide it from sight I look at my wife lying beside me on the bed She would not approve of the talk I just had with Fred The knife is not handy so the hatchet will do Down upon her head turning the pillow to stew So i'm alone once again, nothing that I can't handle Dim the lights, pour some wine, some lite music and a candle As I wind down from the day and I head off to bed I get down on my knees for a little talk with Fred Last edited by Marley's Ghost; 11-05-2007 at 08:15 AM. |
