Hmmm

The first film was pretty bad, but I love the Silver Surfer. I haven't been reading up on this one. Is Galactus going to be in it? If so, I'm in.

I enjoyed the first one despite its faults, and being a big Silver Surfer fan Im pretty psyched for this.

Rod - I havent heared anything for certain, but really - can you imagine a Silver Surfer intro movie without Galactus?

Given how they treated Doom in the first film, yes I can see them leaving Galactus completely out of this film.

If Galactus is not involved, the whole surfer story arc would be stupid, and pointless...especially since he seems to be a little towards "bad" by what the trailer showed. That character in particular is a little hollow without his origins...I mean, I wasn't around during the time those events took place in the FF comics, but I've read enough reprints and downloads to be aware of the whole deal. It was one of the BIGGEST character turn-arounds in comicbook history, started out as an immensely powerful foe, but showed that he had a conscience trapped in there...turned out to be quite the noble character.
Galactus made that all...without him, the SS character would lose SO much...and yes, I will be severely dissapointed.

I liked the first FF film because of how well they managed the characters of the thing, and the torch, and their whole interaction dynamic...doom was "ok", mr and mrs fantastic were a little hollow...but still, I think it was a decent film, went in expecting the most over the top cartoony marvel film yet, and got it. The sequel should be alright too. No moleman hm?
