Black X-mas "remake" Unrated DVD

I just had to see how much I hated it.
The answer is.....MUCHO.
Totally shitty remake all around. The only good thing about it is obviously the hot ladies. There is some good gore scenes, but that is it.
The original is way better.....but I'm sure you all know that.

just watched the original last week for the first time. everyone said it had aged a bit but i thought it had way more depth than any of the recent stalk and slash movies. it seems that the current slasher movies substitute story for gore

I've been dreading this... Why do people feel they need to mess with the classics?

I can't completely agree with you because there have been some outstanding remakes such as Hills Have Eyes, Dawn Of the Dead, TCM: The Beginning etc.

Remakes aren't always bad, I heard this one was good. Just don't compare it to the original, watch it as it's own film.

Good Remakes:

House on haunted hill
Hills have eyes
House of wax
the thing*
the mummy
dawn of the Dead
Night of the living dead

There are more.

Sounds like split opinions on this one. How closely did the remake stick to the original?

The remake has the same plot structure, but the two films are completely different.I thought the remake was better.
