Don't work for Circuit City

I just read an article on the front page of USAToday saying that Circuit City is laying off 3000+ workers. Not downsizing or cutting the jobs mind you, they're just firing everyone they think gets paid too much and plan on replacing them all with lower paid workers.

Who the fuck would wanna work for a company that pulls a move like that?

That sends the message to everyone working there that they'd better not stay there too long or earn any raises or their job could be in jeopardy. It also sends the message to everyone working there that they basically have no future with the company (Or at least only a limited one). What is the motivation to do a good job knowing that if they do too good of a job and earn themselves a few raises, they'll be let go by a corporate monstrosity trying to pinch a few pennies? And these workers that are getting fired because they make too much... Well, they are probably the ones that have been with the company for 10-15 years now and that's the thanks Circuit City gives them for their service? Fuck that. Circuit Shitty just made their way on to my list (Along with Wal-Mart, Sams Club, Blockbuster & Damons Sports Bar & Grill) of corporations I will never give any business to ever again.
