Winston and Bernsen Team Up for Monsters
Source: Public Media Works, Inc.
April 9, 2007

Public Media Works, Inc. announced today that the company and Stan Winston Productions are proceeding to script development and production of the film Monsters. Monsters is based on the original treatment written by Corbin Bernsen.

Monsters is a sci-fi thriller with epic implications, yet grounded in a humorous, romantic relationship between its two principal characters: a too young to be burnt out Ivy League professor, and a sassy English jetsetter.

The company and Stan Winston Productions entered into a joint development agreement in June 2006 to work together to seek financing, development and production of a film and/or television series based on the Monsters treatment. Stan Winston, and his Stan Winston Studio, is responsible for the creation of some of the most memorable special effects in film, including those seen in Terminator, Predator, Alien, and Jurassic Park.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Stan and Stan Winton Productions on 'Monsters,'" stated Corbin Bernsen, Chief Executive Officer of Public Media Works. "Stan and his studio bring a wealth of experience, talent and creativity to help Public Media Works bring this fantastic story to the screen," Bernsen added.

The company and Stan Winston Productions plan to work together to complete the script in the second quarter of 2007, and then expect to secure funding and begin principal photography by the end of 2007.
