If this is true, then I recommend everybody watch the terminator films - you know what happens there - computers take over the world....

If it's just a joke - How did they manage to get the babies in the costumes?

If I had the support of a multi-billion dollar Japanese corporation backing me I could busta groove robot style just like them.

Chances are they will release an album next year.

its a pretty good glimpse at the possible/probable future.

when they figure out in depth self programming - thats when things will break wide open.

the last major technical 'age of advancement' was the 'computer age'
the next 'mini wave' is definately 'the internet age'

i'm pretty sure the next one will concern advanced robotics.
what you see in this video is just the beginning..

Robotics + A.I. + Nanotechnology...

sometimes I wonder if we are surging forward to a possible future as visualised in "T2: Judgement Day"...

I'm as terrified of being enslaved by robot overlords as the next guy (maybe more so) but that clip is nothing more than an intricate bit of choreographed programming. It's not like the robots were responding to the music.

I'm much more frightened of those damned furbies...they talk to each other!

It starts with chatter and next thing you know they're conspiring.

SMASH 'EM ALL! KILL THE FURBIES!!!!!

Whew, felt good to let that out.

what got me is how fluid the range of motion was.

they can walk and move perfectly .. add some more sophisticated sensors and programming and they will be able to navigate any kind of terrain much the way we would.

i cant ever see a future where we somehow allow machines to run amok and threaten our existance - but i can see another huge wave of unemployment due to jobs made obsolete by machines that can accomplish what they couldnt before due to limited movement etc..
