to be perfectly honest .. the only news of a remake that ever bothered me was : Alfie

(and War of the Worlds - when i found out it was going to be set in modern day)

i really dont have my panties in a knot about any horror remakes ... remake them all for all i care - at least someone is making horror movies.

some movies are just to good to remake
this is one of them. i just dont see how you can take a movie and use the same damn story line and make a killer at the box office. its all just a big pile of shit.

...

Stop posting info from Bloody-Disgusting :-/

There won't be a remake as long as Don Coscarelli is concerned.
The Tall Man scared the crap out of me and they won't find a better actor to play him in a million years. I think phantasm would merit a remake more than most other movies being remade these days, it was done on an ultra low budgets and it would be interesting to see some of the elements of the original redone. I guess I'd be interested in seeing a faster paced version with cg, I think it would be entertaining atleast.

I've decided to stop complaining about remakes because I've come to terms with the fact that there isn't even an original thought left in hollywood anymore, let alone an idea.
