There was some movie I saw at the theater that wasn't even horror that made me jump. I think it was something like Metro maybe. I can't remember but I felt stupid and then realized that I wasn't the only one who jumped. Anyway, only in the theater can a movie startle me. I think it's the amplified sound and picture.:D

I actually love it when there are stupid things like that in scary movies that make me jump. That's the best part! It's usually things that you wouldn't expect too, like animals and things like that. It's great.:D

Agreed, it's always a red herring that makes you jump. It's never the killer/monster. They love there fucking cats jumping out of the closet.

ive never really jumped out my socks watching any movie but i agree the worst thing is when cats and animals come out of closets ect` when the animals jump out you think its the murderer, monster or thing that jumps out but when they do appear it doesnt usually shock you at all!!!

but hey i dont make the rules right!!

Didnt happen to me personally, but did have a lil fun with a girl I was dating at the time, we were watching The Ring, and she went through the whole, "There is no damn way I would be answering a phone again" speal, well about midway through the movie when the girl was watching I grabbed my cell as I took the dog out for her usual bad timing and watched through the window, timed it perfectly, right as the phone on TV was ringing I called her up, I thought she had a heart attack. I couldnt stop laughing. She truly got pissed at me for it too lol sheesh, good riddance.

I'm a total scaredy cat, so everything makes me jump. Really though - it's always in the theater for me, too. I don't know why - maybe it is amplified sound. At home, movies just don't seem as scary. The last movie that made me jump was Gothika - and always with the stupid shit. I love getting that feeling though, it's a bit better than flying over and down a really big hill, that lovely butterflies in the tummy feeling. Awesome.

Funny...I did the same thing to my daughter and her boyfriend...only without the dog...I guess great minds really DO think alike...:D
